Unitex

Unitex, located in Dandenong Victoria is an Australian owned and operated manufacturing and distributor of a wide range of building products including wall cladding, renders and mouldings.

In an industry known for its demanding workloads, Unitex required durable and reliable forklifts that would perform a range of heavy lifting duties as well as met their financial requirements. With these pre-requisites in mind, NTP Forklifts Australia delivered a fleet of 9 x TCM FG25T3C.

The Smart Machine is a part of the economy range of forklift models. These models still incorporate the same level of robustness and strength that all TCM designs incorporate. However, they do not have the same level of features and accessories that the premium F1 range possess. The price is therefore more appealing to many businesses.

The TCM Smart Machine’s contained a mixture of side shift and a side shift fork positioner attachments. The side shifter attachment is an ideal solution for handling loads in narrow spaces where close stacking of loads is required or when it is difficult to reposition the truck when picking up or unloading. The fork positioner allows the operator to adjust the fork spacing hydraulically for various pallet configurations. They are used primarily in high volume operations where there is a great variety of pallet sizes to be handled. The units were also fitted with Upswept pre-cleaner systems to cope with the dusty environment.

Unitex considers the TCM FG25T3C to be more powerful and easier to handle than their previous supplier.
