Manitou in the Mines

Cockatoo Coal, an Australian coal producer, took delivery of their new Manitou MT-X 1840 A tele handler for their new mining extension out at Baralaba Coal Mine in Central Queensland.

The unit was purchased to replace three machines currently being used: an all-terrain forklift, standard telehandler and an EWP.

The handover of the unit was completed on site with a full run down of the equipment and features which included an 18 metre reach, 4 tonne load capacity and a 1000kg platform to BMA specifications. The unit will be used daily in all maintenance applications.

The team at Cockatoo Coal were extremely impressed with the features on the machine including the operation, mobility and functionality of the Manitou MT-X 1840 A.
