King Reef Barramundi

King Reef Barramundi is Australia’s largest capacity Barramundi farm. It was purchased in 2009 by one of the largest seafood companies in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sealord Group.

Established in Cowley, Northern Queensland in the mid-1990s, King Reef is a fully integrated Barramundi breeding, growing and processing enterprise. Supplying a range of whole fish to wholesalers across Victoria, NSW and Queensland, as well as to retailers, Coles and Woolworths.

To assist with their operations, King Reef Barramundi were delighted to take delivery of 2 new long term rental TCM FG30T3C Smart Machines. One unit will be used for transporting and storing the fish food whereas the other will be used for loading live Barramundi onto trucks for local and international markets.

The Smart Machine is a part of the economy range of TCM forklifts. These models still incorporate the same level of robustness and strength its successor, the F1 possesses. With a 3 tonne capacity, the Smart machine is more than capable of transporting and storing the heavy loads.

Both machines have been treated with nil rust for longevity in this environment. They are also equipped with swing down bottle brackets and digital weight scales, solid tyres and container masts.
