Keith’s New Helper

Keith Cook has recently taken delivery of a new Manitou MLT-X627 compact telescopic handler for various tasks around his property in Far North Queensland.

He required a telescopic handler that was both compact in size and able to handle various attachments. Keith is using both a stump grinder and concrete mixer. The Manitou MLT-X627 was able to manage the high flow hydraulic demands of the Digga SG26 stump grinder and also has the lifting capacity for the Himac .5 cubic meter concrete mixer.

The MLT-X 627 20" is designed for farms with cramped, enclosed quarters. With its compact frame and lowered cabin, this telehandler can easily pass under even the lowest doorframe thresholds. Its high performance means you have 5.5 m of lifting height and 2.7 tonnes of lifting capacity. Capable of easily getting around in any situations, it comes equipped with 20" agricultural tyres and 4-wheel drive to tackle any type of terrain.

The Perkins diesel engine runs at 101 hp and for comfort the spacious driver's cabin is equipped with JSM controls, meaning all handling operations can be performed with one hand, thereby limiting muscle fatigue.
