Eureka for NTP!

NTP Forklifts have provided a new Jungheinrich EFG550s 5000kg capacity AC counterbalance electric forklift truck to Eureka Garages and Sheds in Melbourne.

Eureka is a designer and manufacturer of steel garages, garden sheds, industrial buildings and other steel roll-formed products.

Like NTP, Eureka is also a 100% owned Australian company and has been servicing their domestic, rural and commercial customers for in excess of 25 years.

The Jungheinrich EFG550s was trialled by Eureka for the handling of steel coils and other heavy raw materials. The trial immediately identified the Jungheinrich EFG as a leap forward in handling efficiency, productivity and safety from the IC trucks that Eureka had been using. The EFG550s being ‘shorter’ in overall length than equivalent I/C machines, provided a distinct advantage in handling space and reduced product damage according to Eureka. The reduction in energy cost was also a key factor in the decision for the Jungheinrich counterbalance truck.

The EFG550 range features Jungheinrich’s 4th generation AC technology ‘Pure Energy’ which is generations ahead of competitors. This world leading technology provides class leading work cycle times and battery run times for electric forklift trucks. The high “Ingress Protection” (IP) electrical rating also provides high reliability for indoor or outdoor applications.

Other features of the EFG550 range include ‘curve control’ on cornering, anti-rollback on gradients, automatic parking brake, and side battery extraction via the Jungheinrich ‘Snap Fit’ system for triple shift applications.
